This year's theme for the Harley-Davidson® Tyger Valley Annual Tattoo Convention was "Carnival"! And not your average, run-of-the-mill carnival either: think "dark carnival/ freakshow". With all the staff dressed to theme including a bearded lady, creepy clowns etc. you could be forgiven for thinking you had stepped into another dimension!
The convention was a feast for the eyes with the following tattoo studios participating:
- - No Regrets: Tattoos, Removals & Repairs
- - Hoodoo Tattoo Studio
- - The Mad Tatter Tattoo Studio
- - Emerald Fox Tattoo Studio
- - Sins of Style Tattoo Studio
Our piercers for the day were Dominique Amanda and Breda Wiese, who poked holes in quite a few happy customers! A BIG thank-you to our friends at VTMedWaste, who kindly disposed of all medical waste on the day.
For the first time ever at our dealership, we had a skate ramp for the day thanks to Monster Energy Drink! They also parked their motor home outside, allowing customers to play racing games on their big screen TV's and spoiled all attendees with FREE ice-cold Monsters Energy Drinks! Keeping bellies full, was the Tacokombi, who served up some delicious meals!
Besides the rock monitor walking around on a leash and the snake charmer, Afrodizzy Acts certainly had the crowds entertained! It was quite a site to witness the lady on stilts dressed as a giant flamingo as well! Other live entertainment included the lovely ladies from Inversion Fitness, who showcased their pole dancing skills for the crowds. For those with a taste for whiskey, Jack Daniels had a mobile cocktail bar and lounge set up inside the dealership.
Customers also had the opportunity to enter their tattoos into our tattoo competition. The categories were:
- Best Colour
- Best Black & Grey
- People's Choice
The prizes for each winner was a voucher to the value of R500 from Harley-Davidson® Tyger Valley plus 2 x tickets to Rockin' & Riding 2016 by Dusty Rebels and the Bombshells on 12 November 2016 at the Cape Town Ostrich Ranch. Keeping the crowds informed and taking us down memory lane with many classic hits, was our emcee, Sean Young from Rockstar Productions. Attendees could also stock up on the latest beauty products from the AnonaMiss Beauty Emporium stand!
Thank you very much to every person that came through to enjoy the day with us and to all of our sponsors and participants! We look forward to seeing you again next year!
